BMWblog.com has given information about the M5 in its new blog post. In which BMW has told that the new 2024 BMW M5 will borrow some of its technology from the recently unveiled BMW XM. Before you know it, the G90 M5 is not the first electrified business sports sedan. The BMW XM luxury SUV will be launched in 2023, almost a year before the new M5.

Obviously, the 2024 BMW M5 (G90) will be the most powerful M5 ever offered. Let us tell you that the G90 M5 produces at least 525kW of power. Which is 713 PS (Metric Horsepower) or 704 hp (Mechanical Horsepower), which is really good power. The torque output for the XM will be 590 lb-ft or 800 Nm or will be slightly different. You will get all this only in the base M5 model. Maybe future variants, like the M5 CS, could bring the power level up to the top XM unit - which would be around 750 horsepower. At present there is no complete information about it.

Power will come from a new twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine (S68), which will be offered with an e-motor. Whose details have not been given, we estimate that the motor will be around 90-100kW. Electric driving range can be rated at 80 km (50 mi) according to WLTP.

The MH5 GTR will see changes to the stainless steel exhaust system with valve controls, which will now use four 100mm tailpipe. The tailpipe are wrapped in carbon.
