2023 Chevrolet Corvette configuration, Review, Pricing, and Specs
The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette is a upcoming supercar, its pricing starts at $61,900.
With supercar performance, a low price tag and dazzling appearance, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette retains the nameplate's decades-long tradition as an automotive legend—but with a mid-engine twist. The current C8 is the first model of Chevy's halo sports car to use a naturally aspirated V-8 engine mounted behind the passenger compartment, raising it to exotic status. It has the same razor-sharp handling and blazing acceleration as sports cars costing tens of thousands of dollars more, yet it's also comfortable and polished enough for cross-country drive. The C8 is offered as a convertible or coupe, with the convertible featuring a removable roof panel that lets the sun in.The inside of the Corvette is small but pleasant, and there is enough of trunk room for groceries or luggage, making it a sensible sports car to buy. We believe this timeless classic has bewitched us.
What's New for the Year 2023?
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Corvette, and Chevrolet will commemorate the occasion with a special commemorative edition. For the 70th Anniversary model, which will be offered in coupe or convertible body types, only the top-of-the-line 3LT specification will be available.

External upgrades include dark-finish aluminum wheels with 70th Anniversary center caps, red brake calipers, and special exterior badging; the two exterior colors are White Pearl Metallic and Carbon Flash Metallic, with Satin Gray or Satin Black racing stripes available. The seats in the 70th Anniversary edition are made of leather with red stitching and microfiber trim, as well as a set of custom matching luggage.
There are two body options available for the Corvette: coupe and convertible with a folding hard top. Because the coupe's roof lifts off for open-top driving, we'd go for it. We'd rather spend the additional money for the 2LT variant, which includes a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, blind-spot monitoring, and more. A must-have is the Z51 performance package, which includes all of the Corvette's top performance-oriented features.

The engine is still a 6.2-liter V-8 with 490 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, but it is now placed behind rather than in front of the passenger compartment. When fitted with the Z51 package's dual-mode performance exhaust, it produces 495 horsepower. The Z51 option also has an electronic limited-slip rear differential, more aggressive brakes, and summer tires. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is the only transmission option (a first for a Corvette). It is controlled by a push-button gear selector on the center console or two huge steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles.
A manual transmission is not available. In our tests, a car equipped with the Z51 performance package and the optional FE4 magnetorheological dampers clocked in at 2.8 seconds from zero to 60 mph and 11.2 seconds for the quarter-mile at 122 mph. We recorded 1.03 g's and a braking distance of 149 feet from 70 mph on the skid pad. Even in base form, the new Corvette is capable of heroic handling and delivers incredible thrills on the road and on the track.
MPG and Fuel Economy in the Real World -
According to the EPA, the Corvette gets 15 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg combined. We put it through a 200-mile highway fuel-economy test and obtained 26 miles per gallon, which was 1 mile per gallon less than we expected. The earlier generation–remember the Corvette with the engine in the front?–achieved 27 mpg in the same test.
Cargo, Interior, and Comfort -
The Corvette is still a two-seater with a futuristic interior covered in leather, real metal trim, and fake suede, as well as a stylish stitched headliner. The coupe's roof, like earlier Corvette roofs, is removable and fits into the trunk, which is placed somewhat ahead of the engine compartment. The rear trunk can store two golf bags when the top is stowed, while the front trunk may hold luggage or goods.
Headroom (in / mm) | 37.9 / 962 |

Legroom (in / mm) | 42.8 / 1,087 |
Shoulder Room (in / mm) | 54.4 / 1,382 |
Front Hip Room (in / mm) | 52.0 / 1,321 |
The driver sits behind a squared-off steering wheel with a 12.0-inch configurable gauge display, and a large infotainment touchscreen is oriented toward him for ease of use. By dividing the cockpit in half with a tall bank of climate-control buttons, the interior design highlights the driver-focused approach. Overall, the Corvette's cabin is quite beautiful. The 3LT option includes upgraded materials such as stitched leather on most interior surfaces and carbon-fiber trim.
With a total storage capacity of 13 cubic feet, the new Corvette includes two trunks, one forward of the passenger compartment and one behind the engine. Chevrolet boasts that the Corvette can fit two sets of golf clubs in the back trunk when stacked on top of each other. During our testing, we were able to easily fit our set of clubs, thus Chevy's claim appears to be genuine. We were able to fit one carry-on bag in the front trunk and two in the back compartment when it came to fitting our carry-on luggage into the Corvette.
